The Government have said that getting children back to school is their number one priority.
Speaking to RTE’s This Week In Politics, the new Minister for Agriculture Dara Calleary said that the government’s main objective over the coming weeks ahead is getting schools back up and running in a safe manner.
Calleary told the programme that the Minister for Education Norma Foley is working hard to make that objective a reality.
The Minister for Agriculture’s comments come after phase 4 of the lifting of restrictions was suspended until August 10th amid fears over a recent rise in cases.
