The Government have said that they hope Communions and Confirmations can return in September.
In an announcement the Government said they intend to write to church leaders to outline their plans for the resumption of such services.
However the Government have warned any return of Communions or Confirmations will depend on public health advice.
It is understood the Government’s plans come after a number of members of the Catholic Church voiced their concerns over the cancellation of services.
