The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has told the Dail that the Government plans to have 700,000 people vaccinated by the end of March.
Speaking about the vaccine roll-out Donnelly said the plan is to have everyone in the top three priority groups vaccinated before April.
Donnelly said that the Government then plans to have more than 1.5m people vaccinated by quarter 2 and then even by the end of quarter 3.
However the Health Minister has warned that the above projections are based on vaccine allocation from Moderna, Pfizer and BioNtech as well as the yet to be approved AstraZeneca vaccine.
