The Government are set to announce their plans on the easing of restrictions in June and July next week.
According to RTE News, the Taoiseach Micheal Martin has told parliamentary members that the Government will announce their plans for the coming months ahead within the next week.
It is believed that the announcement will focus on the reopening of the hospitality sector and the aviation industry.
Martin is also reported to have told his colleagues that there will be substantive work around the area of mandatory hotel quarantine.
The Taoiseach’s comments come as a number of sectors are expected to reopen their doors next month.
However the Government have previously stated that any decision on the lifting of restrictions would be dependent on case numbers, hospitalisations and the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out.
