Government threatens Irish public that any restrictions lifted from April 5th won’t be for long case numbers continue to rise

The Government has issued a stern warning to the Irish public that lockdown restrictions may not remain lifted for very long at all after April 5 if case numbers continue to rise.

Sunday saw an increase of 769 cases, signaling a marked spike in infections, however Tuesday only had 371 new cases.

The current lockdown is due to end on April 5, and while some restrictions are expected to be either lifted or ease, this might not be the case for very long, depending on the course of the coronavirus.

It’s understood that NPHET will tell the government what to do prior to April 5th.
