The Attorney General has reportedly cleared the way to introduce temporary rent control measures to help struggling families who have seen repeated rent increases.
It has also been reported that rent increases will be linked to inflation.
Minister for the Environment Alan Kelly will discuss these measures in the coming weeks and seek approval in the near future.
