Orange weather warning in place for today, but better weather predicted for later in the week

washout

It may be the first of June, but the dreadful weather of late is set to continue, for today at least.

There is an Orange Alert wind warning in place for Leinster and a Yellow Alert for the rest of the country. Gusts of wind of up to 115km/h are predicted to hit today.

According to Met Eireann, there will be rain, hail, and high winds pretty much everywhere in the country for the next 48 hours.

But it’s not all that bad, as Thursday is expected to bring about a welcome change, with temperatures of 20-21C, with the south and east of the country enjoying the best of the weather.
