Government’s internal rift deepens, as Taoiseach’s refusal to rule out a coalition with Fianna Fail leaves Labour cold

The strife within Government ranks rages on, just days before the General Election.

It has emerged today that Joan Burton’s enraged over the Taoiseach’s refusal to completely rule out a possible coalition with Fianna Fail, if the numbers aren’t there after election day.

Labour’s junior ministers are reportedly asking Enda Kenny to ‘clarify’ his stance on Fianna Fail today.

The very survival of the Labour Party as a political force after the election is in serious jeopardy, and even Fine Gael now seem to see the writing on the wall for Joan Burton and her associates, hence leaving a door open to a coalition with their now foes, Fianna Fail.
