Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that a man and woman have thankfully been found safe and well after they went missing whilst hiking in the Ballyhoura Mountains on Monday.
It is believed the man and woman, both aged in their 50s and 60s respectively, got lost whilst exploring expedition on the mountain yesterday evening.
Gardaí say the couple got separated from the group at approximately 9.30pm last night which prompted the group to call the rescue services.
Thankfully the couple were found at around 1am this morning after the Valentia Coast Guard, the Gardaí ad the Mallow Search and Rescue team coordinated a search.
