There was some good news announced this afternoon as Gardai confirmed that missing man Tom Carey has been found safe and well.
Tom, 80, who has Alzheimers disease was the subject of a nationwide appeal after he went missing from his home in Clondalkin on Friday afternoon.
However thankfully Gardaí confirmed that Mr Carey had been located safe and well in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí say they would like to thank the public for their assistance in the matter and that the case is now officially closed.
