John McCarthy’s specially designed Audi A6 estate was was stolen between midnight and 8am last night from the driveway of a house in Lucan, West Dublin.
This led to a social media appeal for information from the gardaí, and the athlete himself pleading for the safe return of his car.
Thankfully, John’s car was located undamaged in the Lucan area today.
Mr McCarthy, from Dunmanway, Co Cork has represented Ireland in three Paralympic Games, winning a silver medal in discus in Athens and posted the below message on Facebook to help locate his car:
