A Great White shark has fatally injured a surfer off the New South Wales coast in Australia.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was attacked earlier today while surfing near the shore at Salt Beach. He sustained a severe leg injury in the attack. Other surfers fought off the shark and brought the man ashore, where he died a short time later.
The beach will remain closed for at least 24h.
