As the coalition government put plans in place to resettle and house unlimited numbers of Ukrainian refugees, the Green Party must be concerned about their plans to give free “own door” housing to the current asylum seekers in Ireland and unknown numbers of asylums seekers who arrive in Ireland in the years to come.
As part of the current coalition agreement between the Green Party, Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, the Green Party demanded an end to direct provision.
The Green Party’s plan is to give free, own door housing to every asylum seeker currently in Ireland.
The Green Party also want to give free, own door housing and full cash benefits to all new asylum seekers from the day they arrive into Ireland, even before any review of their asylum status.
The Green Party must be concerned about their “end direct provision” tax payer funded campaign since war broke out in the Ukraine.
