The Green Party’s Eamon Ryan is in serious trouble today following what many are describing as a disgusting display of ignorance in the Dail yesterday.
His leadership battle is now in serious trouble following the massive mistake he made. It could be all but over.
The current leader of the Green Party Eamon Ryan really put his foot in it in the Dail. He said what many are describing online as an absolutely disgraceful act by using the N word in the chamber.
Ryan was quoting an article where a man living in Ireland said he received racism. In the article, the N word was blanked out but Ryan took it upon himself to blast out the full word in the Dail. He tweeted the below:
I made a speech in the Dáil today about the scourge of racism in our society. In quoting from an article I read this morning, I repeated a racial slur, and I was completely wrong to do so. I want to apologise for any hurt caused. I know this particular word should never be used.
