Greta Thunberg claims climate change protesters sometimes “need to anger people”

Greta Thunberg has said in relation to environmental protests that ‘sometimes you need to anger people’

The teenage activist, who was mobbed by groups of people upon arriving in Glasgow for the COP26 summit, added that people in countries like the UK (and Ireland), where protests are allowed, have ‘more responsibility’ to demonstrate against the change climate.

Thunberg’s comments come at a time when environmental group Insulate Britain are blocking roads, angering and frustrating many motorists.

Asked about the environmental protests at the BBC’s Andrew Marr, he said: “To make clear, as long as no-one gets hurt… then I think sometimes you need to anger some people.”
