There is very little good news in terms of weather for the weekend, as the outlook is for heavy and persistent rain, and isolated thunderstorms throughout.
A Status Yellow warning is in place for Munster, where up to 40mm of rain is forecast.
A band of heavy rain will cross the country northwards during Saturday morning/afternoon, with some bright conditions developing around the south as the day goes on.
Sunday will dawn bright and sunny, a further spell of heavy rain will soon put an appearance to spoil the day.
The only upside is that temperatures will remain relatively mild for this time of year, ranging from 12-14C.
