There is some tragic news this afternoon, as a four-month-old baby has been killed, and his 22-month-old brother seriously injured, after the family dog turned on them.
The tragedy happened at a house in Harwich Road, Colchester, Essex, UK, on Thursday afternoon.
Neighbours reportedly heard a commotion, and police cars and an ambulance arrived shortly afterwards.
It transpired that a dog, believed to be a Staffordshire bull terrier, attacked the children and also their mother.
The youngest child sadly lost his life and his brother suffered ‘life-changing’ injuries.
The dog was later put down.
