A group of children fell ill after eating sweets laced with cannabis.
The incident happened in Sutton, south London, in recent days. Several of the children required hospitalization. A number of similar incidents have been detected in other parts of London since.
It is unclear how the children obtained the tainted sweets.
Local authorities have advised parents to be on alert.
