Growing fears that Irish Government could consider Israeli style “green cards” to stop non-vaccinated Irish citizens from accessing gyms, restaurants, hotels, cinemas, concerts and other services

The Irish public are getting pretty fed up with what’s been put on the table in terms of easing restrictions and certainly in terms of just what the future will look like once the government and NPHET are finished deciding on “what’s best for the people”.

Israel has been rolling out a “green card” system to stop non-vaccinated Israeli citizens accessing services and Ireland may be following the Israeli plan.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar (FG) has confirmed that the IT systems available to the Irish government has the ability to produce printed and digital vaccine certificates and he is now considering Israel’s model reports Breakingnews.ie

Mr Varadar said the Government will examine the system for Ireland. “It’s something that we could consider, but I think we can only consider it when we’re confident that it’s worked in Israel,” according to Newstalk FM.
