Hail and sleet on the way after Henry’s departure

wintrysun

The latest winter storm may be gone, but the weather after St. Brigid’s Day is set to be cold and wintry.

All weather warnings that were in effect have now been lifted, but those living in the west and north of the country will experience a cold but bright day today, with hail and sleet likely on higher ground. Temperatures will hover at around 6-8C with southwesterly winds strong at times.

Tonight will be very cold again, with some snowfalls likely in northern areas.

The day will be a bit better for those living in the south though. Dry weather with long bright spells are expected.
