Hard man Harris describes stabbing of a man in Dublin city centre as ‘alarming’

The death of a man in the heart of Dublin has been called “alarming, shocking, and deeply concerning” by the Tánaiste, reports Breaking News.

The stabbing on South Anne Street early on Saturday morning is the subject of a murder investigation.

After being taken to the hospital, the man in his 30s who had been discovered with severe knife wounds passed away, reports Breaking News.

Another man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving treatment at St. James’s Hospital.

Tánaiste Simon Harris, speaking in Munich, said the Justice Minister is working to ensure the safety of the city’s streets: “He is being kept updated by the Garda Commissioner in relation to this. He is also working with Government colleagues to increase the number of gardaí on our streets. I am very conscious there is an active murder investigation that has now been opened in relation to this issue. We have seen the loss of life of one person and another seriously injured, so we need to let this investigation proceed,” reports Breaking News.
