The Minister for Health Simon Harris has said that Ireland’s strategy in tackling Covid-19 will save lives.
Speaking about the impact of the virus, Minister Harris said social distancing measures are working and he urged the public to stay the course even though it means making sacrifices.
The Health Minister who has warned that things won’t immediately go back to normal, said that without the restriction measures we would be seeing a drastic increase in cases.
Harris said without the measures Ireland would have seen 120,000 cases this coming Sunday.
He added that more we do to lower the number in terms of case transmission we will in turn save many lives.
