Harris says that he’s concerned at the lack of uptake in people using face masks

The health minister said he was “a little concerned” about the public’s lack of wearing face masks.

Simon Harris said that there is “very clear public health advice” on this, and that if people are using public transport or going into shops or supermarkets, then they “should wear a face covering”

According to RTE, Harris said that there are people like children and people with certain illnesses or disabilities that cannot cover their faces.

However, he said, “for those of us who can wear one, we really should”.

Harris said that while coverage tips are not mandatory, he said that the Irish have recently changed many of our non-mandatory behaviors and encouraged people to listen to the health tips.
