The Minister for Health Simon Harris said the public should wear face masks whilst visiting shops or using public transport.
Although the use of masks is not mandatory, Harris said the use of masks could help in halting the spread of the virus.
However he did reiterate that a mask is not magic shield.
The Health Minister’s comments come after 9 deaths and 9 new cases were reported on Tuesday.
