Caretaker Minister for Health Simon Harris has been angered at people who were singing in a busy Dublin pub and weren’t taking advice about preventing the spread of the Coronavirus.
Harris his comments after footage apparently showing a mass gathering at a popular Dublin pub appeared on social media Saturday evening. You can see the footage below.
In a post on Twitter, the caretaker Minster described the actions of those insulting especially as there are doctors and nurses working around the clock to prevent the spread of the virus just down the road.
Harris went on to urge the public to follow the very clear public health advice issued in the past few days.
Not far from here, nurses & doctors are working to prepare for the impact of a global pandemic. Everyone is working 24/7. This is an insult to their efforts. There is very clear public health advice.
