Haunted pooch: The strange case of the levitating chihuahua

There are strange goings-on at a house in Rutherglen, Glasgow, that have sparked rumors of a local haunting at the site.

According to reliable witnesses, pieces of clothing have been seen floating about, lights going on and off without any human intervention, and even a well-loved family pet, a chihuahua dog, found itself being hoisted 7ft up in the air by an unseen force. The pooch flew over a hedge and ended up resting atop the hedge.

The alleged poltergeist activity has local police authorities baffled and confused, and short of an exorcism, Scotland Yard is out of ideas as their officers are not trained to deal with supernatural forces.

It is understood that a family of Catholic roots currently resides at the property. A local priest is said to have done a ‘blessing’ to ward off evil spirits after the family, a mother and a teenage son, contacted police in a panic. The police, in turn, resorted to calling a priest after witnessing clothing and other items flying about the property.

The house currently lies empty, as the family are staying with relatives. Both mother and son are reportedly terrified to set foot inside again.
