If you’re a hayfever sufferer or you have asthma, you need to be extra careful over the coming days.

Asthma and hayfever sufferers have been advised to take extra precautions as forecasters say the pollen will be high over the coming days.

In an announcement Met Eireann said that the pollen count will be high in all areas until Tuesday.

Met Éireann say there will be a higher risk of grass and weed pollen due to the drier weather conditions.

High pollen can be particularly irritating to hayfever sufferers as symptoms include, itchy eyes, face swelling, runny nose, sneezing and a sore throat.
