In what many people on social media are claiming is pure arrogant, the newly elected Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he doesn’t care if he’s a popular Taoiseach or not.
Martin appears to not care less what the Irish public think of him or how popular he’ll be as Taoiseach.
The new Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he is happy to be an unpopular Taoiseach.
Speaking on Virgin Media, Martin said that he has been unpopular before, but it’s not about popularity but about doing things that needed to be done even they aren’t considered popular.
Martin also told the programme that he intends to stay on as party leader even after his stint as Taoiseach is finished.
