Health authorities have confirmed an outbreak of bird flu in Wicklow.
The presence of the Avian Influenza H5N8 virus was confirmed among a flock of turkeys in the locality. The birds have been destroyed and the area quarantined.
The virus has now been detected in several locations across Ireland.
