The Health Service Authority (HSE) has issued an urgent warning about the potentially deadly H1N1 flu strain, commonly known as ‘swine flu.’
The warning says that at least four people infected with this strain have been admitted to A&E departments nationwide, and that at least two deaths can be attributed to complications arising from H1N1 infections.
Vulnerable people, such pregnant women, those over 65 years of age, and people with pre-existing conditions should consider vaccination, according to the HSE.
