Applegreen have confirmed that they have closed one of its stations following a health and safety issue recently.
According to RTÉ News, the company confirmed that it has closed its Cherry Orchard site station after a rat was found to be in its delicatessen area.
In footage which has been shared widely on social media a rat is seen rummaging around in a Brennans sliced pan before scurrying across the kitchen area.
Applegreen say they are currently investigating the incident and have confirmed that the station has closed.
They added that the incident is being treated very seriously and it falls well below our high operating standards.
