The Minister for Health Simon Harris has confirmed that schools will not return until September at the earliest.
Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing, Minister Harris said schools will not return until September at the earliest.
Harris said who was speaking about the lifting of restrictions and the Government’s road map said the initial plan is to reopen schools in September, however that could be subject to change should we see another surge in the virus.
The Health Minister who reiterated that the lifting of restrictions will be undertaken at slow pace, said that the Leaving Certificate is scheduled to take place on July 29th but that could also change should we see another surge.
