Heartbreaking: Boy, 2, drowns after being left behind by Nursery staff on day trip




A 2 year old boy has sadly died after drowning whilst on a nursery day trip in Germany.

According to 7news.com, the young toddler sadly passed away after drowning whilst on a trip to Neustaedter See, in Magdeburg, on October 2nd.

The shocking incident which has now led to a police investigation reportedly occurred after the young boy was left behind by three staff members on a day trip to the area.

According to reports in Germany the little boy named as Adam was only found to be missing after staff arrived back at the daycare centre at approximately 12pm that afternoon.

It is reported that the young boy was sadly found lifeless at a lake following an extensive search involving emergency services, sniffer dogs and a helicopter.

However despite the best efforts of medical personnel the toddler sadly passed in hospital shortly after being found.

The incident which involved a widespread search that lasted over an hour and a half has now led to an investigation into how the young child was left behind.
