A school in Co Longford has confirmed that it has been forced to close following a confirmed Covid-19 case.
In a statement Meán Scoil Mhuire, said the school was closed following a positive test on Thursday.
They also said that a number of staff members had been identified as close contacts.
The school say parents were informed to collect their child following the confirmation of the positive case.
They added that the school will remain closed until the 19th of October in order to comply with public health advice.
