Authorities in Spain have sadly confirmed that an 8-year-old boy has sadly died after choking on a hot dog.
According to reports in Spain, the boy sadly passed away when he choked on a piece of a hot dog whilst attending San Juan festivities in Telde, in the Canary Islands.
It is believed that the terrifying incident occurred just after 12am on Sunday.
Police investigating the incident say despite the best efforts of family members and medical personnel the boy was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that the boy’s parents required medical treatment for severe shock following the incident.
