Authorities in Spain have sadly confirmed that a 14-year-old boy has died after he fell 65ft from the roof a shopping centre in the Costa del Sol.
It is understood the British boy died after he entered a suicide pact with his 16 year old girlfriend who was rescued by security guards.
According to local newspaper Sur, the pair decided to end their lives by jumping from the top of the centre in Puerto Banus, on Friday afternoon.
It is believed that the pair made their way to the roof via an emergency staircase.
However securty personnel were unable to reach the 14-year-old boy who sadly fell to his death, but they were able to save the girl after she hesitated before deciding to jump.
Police investigating the incident say the young girl who is also British was taken to a nearby hospital after she suffered a panic attack following the incident.
Although it is not yet known why the two teenagers decided to end their lives, it is believed that they shared their plans with friends on social media just hours before the incident.
Local reports say the teenagers friends alerted authorities upon seeing their plan.
