A three-month-old baby has tragically died after an oxygen tank exploded in the back of an ambulance in Turkey.
The infant who has been named as Rojin, sadly lost her life after the tank exploded whilst she was being transferred to a hospital in the province of Edirne.
According to reports in Turkey, the baby girl was being transported inside an incubator when the explosion occurred.
It is understood the paramedics who were travelling with the baby and her mother, were unable to save the baby as they escaped the vehicle.
Although firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire, those at the scene were unable to save the baby girl as the vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames.
It is reported that the baby’s mother had to be sedated by paramedics as she watched on in horror, she was later transferred to a different hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
Police say they are trying to determine how the explosion occurred.
