The Fine Gael party have confirmed that it will carry out an internal review into the Maria Bailey case.
It is understood the internal review comes after Ms Bailey met with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on Wednesday evening.
In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the party said the review will be headed by Senior Counsel David Kennedy.
The party also said that Ms Bailey will cooperate with the review.
The Taoiseach has said that the review must take place in order to establish all of the facts surrounding the case.
