It has been sadly confirmed that a three-year-old boy who was inside the Deans Avenue Mosque in Christchurch, has died.
The little boy Mucad Ibrahim, who was previously reported missing – sadly passed away in his father’s arms his family have confirmed.
It is understood that Mucad who has been described as a sweet and energetic boy, was with his father when the gunman opened fire on Friday.
Although his father tried to play dead during the terrifying incident, little Mucad was sadly found and died in his father’s arms.
The news of Mucad’s death was confirmed via Twitter, with one user close to the family writing: “Mucad Ibrahim, Sadly Passed away in his fathers arms, last night, and was taken away by staff. RIP my little friend, you will be sorely missed by all. Such a beacon of light.”
Mucad’s tragic death makes him one of the youngest to be killed in the brutal attack which claimed the lives of 49 people.
