There has yet been another surge in passport applications the Tánaiste Simon Coveney has revealed.
According to RTÉ News, the Tánaiste revealed that the Department of Foreign Affairs have recieved 230,000 applications in the first quarter of this year.
It is understood that 70% of all applications came from the island of Ireland.
The figures which were published this weekend are expected to rise in the coming months and it is expected that the number of applications will surpass last year’s number of 860,000.
