Authorities in the US state of Florida have confirmed that two young boys aged five and six have sadly died after drowning in a swimming pool at an apartment complex.
According to reports in the US, the boy’s sadly lost their lives when they snuck out of their apartment in Silver Palms Apartment Complex in North Lauderdale, Florida on Wednesday night.
It is believed the boy’s who were taking swimming lessons left the apartment whilst their mother was asleep in an other room.
Although a number of attempts were made to save their lives they were sadly pronounced dead at Northwest Medical Centre, shortly after they were found.
It is thought that the boy’s climbed over a locked gate to go swimming, but they tragically got into difficulties once they entered the pool.
Police investigating the incident say they are appealing for witnesses to come forward and contact them.
