Police in Scotland have sadly confirmed that a two year old toddler has died after being found injured at a flat.
According to BBC News, the young boy was found seriously injured at a flat in the Muirhouse area of Edinburgh on Saturday morning.
It is understood that the boy died a short time later at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services.
BBC News reports that police have arrested a 40 year old man in connection with the infants death.
