The cost of heating your home this winter will be a little less burdensome, as Electric Ireland has confirmed that it will be reducing its gas tariffs by 5% from October 1.
This is the third reduction in residential gas prices in the past 18 months, and it should cut an average gas bill by €39.47 (including VAT).
The reduction reflects a downward trend in wholesale gas prices.
