It may officially be Spring, but the current weather is anything but Spring-like.
The national forecaster has predicted a spell of miserable weather just in time for the weekend, with heavy rain, overnight frost, and even wintry showers in store.
Conditions will begin to deteriorate significantly on Thursday, with freezing temperatures of -1 or -2C likely after dark.
Friday will be the best day of the lot, with daytime temperatures reaching 11 or 12C in parts, but bad weather will return with a bang on Saturday, with cold and showery conditions lasting throughout the weekend and into next week.
