“He’ll be gone in the next election” – Ryan finds himself in major row with farmers over the emissions targets

The Minister for complaining… sorry, I mean the Minister for Agriculture Eamon Ryan is embroiled in what could turn out to be a seriously nasty row between himself, his department, the government and farmers around the country.

The agricultural sector is furious at Ryan over various stunts he’s pulled since he’s been in office, but none more so than the emissions targets he’s determined to push onto farmers.

They say that they’re absolutely convicted on getting him out of office at all costs in the next general election.

Arguably one of the most detested politicians in recent times, the Green Party leader has found himself in the middle of a major row with Irish farmers over emission cuts.

Along with the disgraceful fuel costs that farmers have to face, Ryan is enforcing major targets on emissions that could completely decimate the sector.

Farmers say that they’ll remember Ryan and his Green Party candidates at the next general election.

Meanwhile, Ryan says that there’s no need to have a row with farmers and argued they should debate rather than be angry over the emission targets.
