In one of the best feel good stories to hit our site in months, meet baby Conor McCarthy from Cork.

On Easter Sunday, Conor’s mammy Elizabeth was on the way to the hospital with her husband Humphrey when Conor decided it was time to make an appearance.

Humphrey pulled over on the side of a road in West Cork and stopped another car asking for help. He stopped Brian Coomey , a Ryanair pilot from Cork.

The two men rang an ambulance and a woman on 999 walked them through the delivery.

The two men brilliantly worked together with Brian delivering the baby and Humphrey using his shoelace on the umbilical cord.

A lovely reunion happened tonight on the Late Late Show where baby Conor made his first appearance to the public, and the family even revealed they named their new son Conor Brian after the heroic efforts of Brian Coomey.
