A pilot has been praised for his actions after he successfully landed a plane without two front wheels in Myanmar.
It is understood that the pilot landed the aircraft at Mandalay Airport, with 89 people onboard, on its two rear wheels after its front wheels failed to deploy on landing.
According to reports in Myanmar, the pilot who contacted the control tower upon landing informing them of the situation.
However despite performing an emergency back up procedure, the pilot was forced to dump fuel in order to reduce weight before performing a solo landing manoeuvre.
Local sources say the pilot managed to land the plane on its rear wheels with the nose of the plane skidding across the runway before coming to a safe stop.
It is believed that the issue was caused by a mechanical error, but thankfully no one on board suffered any injuries.
