
Wednesday will mark the funeral for a courageous 90-yr-old man who was murdered in a Fermoy, County Cork, parking lot after he attempted to push a woman out of the line of a car, reports Breaking News.
Cal O’Keeffe, a father of four and a former school principal, was declared dead last Friday just after 11.15 a.m. at the SuperValu parking lot on Courthouse Road.
A 60-year-old lady who had severe injuries was taken to the hospital.
Forensic collision investigators kept the site intact for a technical analysis. Witnesses are being urged to come forward by the GardaÃ, reports Breaking News.
Mr. O’Keeffe resided at Ballyhooley, County Cork, on Glanworth Road. His wife Mary, their grown children Marie, John, Martin, and Noelle, as well as their siblings, survive him.
Both his brother John and his parents passed away before him. Additionally, Mr. O’Keeffe’s grandkids, extended relatives, neighbours, and friends all have pleasant memories of him, reports Breaking News.
On Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., the retiree will rest at Ronayne’s funeral home in Fermoy.
On Wednesday at noon, the Holy Cross Church in Glanworth will host his requiem liturgy. He will thereafter be buried at St. Dominic’s cemetery.
In the meanwhile, gardaà are urging anyone who saw this event to come forward. We kindly encourage any pedestrians who were out and about on Courthouse Road in Fermoy last Friday morning to come forward, reports Breaking News.
