The High Court have agreed to an order that will see inspectors investigate Independent News and Media.
According to RTÉ News, the order was granted after a formal request was submitted by the Office Director of Corporate Enforcement.
It is understood the order was granted after the Office Director of Corporate Enforcement argued that INM conducted their affairs unlawfully.
The ODCE also argued that it was in the public’s interests if inspectors were sent into to investigate the company’s dealings.
RTÉ News say the formal order is expected to be officially given on Thursday in order for INM to review the court’s judgment.
