Holidaymakers are again being warned of extreme temperatures and the possibility of wildfires abroad.
According to weather forecasts, temperatures in many countries in central and eastern Europe might reach 40C and beyond.
Meanwhile, local authorities in Spain and Portugal have said that no fewer than 2,000 people have died of heat-related causes this year so far.
